Barnet Council has urged local residents presenting at least one Covid-19 symptom to get tested as soon as possible.
Those with a new and continuous cough, high temperature, or change to their sense of taste and smell should book an appointment on www.gov.uk/get-coronavirus-test.
Anyone travelling to a testing centre should socially distance, wear face coverings before, after and during their appointment and abstain from using public transport and taxis.
“Please also continue to wash your hands thoroughly and regularly, and socially distance from anyone you don’t live with,” said the local authority’s leader Councillor Dan Thomas.
“We will beat this pandemic, but we need your help to do so.”
The borough's second testing unit opened opposite Hendon Fire Station on Monday, the council said. It will offer up to 360 tests a day and remain open from 8am until 8pm seven days a week.
The other centre is located at Watling Community Centre in Edgware.
