Fans of Leyton Orient were bemused by pictures of thousands of Orthodox Jews who used its stadium for an anti-internet rally last week.
The sight of a large crowd clearly impressed club regulars on its online message board. “Can we not keep them for home games,” one wondered, adding “Saturdays may be a problem.”
In tribute, another ventured that for one home game this season, “we should all attend in full Rolf Harris/Chasidic garb. I will even dig out my old yamulke and tallis and dye them red for the occasion.” (Another fan revealed Orthodox Jews were once affectionately known as Rolf Harrises.)
