Man to be retried on charge of aiding kidnap of Charedi woman

articlemain

A man is to face a retrial over a charge of helping in the kidnap of a Charedi woman.

The man was cleared of aiding and abetting the rape and false imprisonment of the woman at a trial earlier this month.

But the jury was unable to reach a verdict on the charge of aiding and abetting the kidnap, and the man will reappear in court in January next year.

At the original trial, at Snaresbrook Crown Court, the ex-husband of the woman was convicted on one count of kidnap, two counts of rape and one count of false imprisonment and jailed for 14 years.
