Labour Councillor, Ilyas Aziz, has been suspended after he called for Jews to be “relocated” to America.
A Labour Party spokesperson confirmed Mr Aziz had been “suspended from the Labour Party pending an investigation.”
According to the website Guido Fawkes, Mr Aziz, who backed Jeremy Corbyn for leader, shared a post arguing that Israeli Jews should “relocate” to America “now”.
The Nottingham councillor wrote on Facebook in July 2014: “Jews and Muslims lived together in the Middle East in peace pre 1948.
“Perhaps it would have been wiser to create Israel in America. It is big enough. They could relocate even now.”
MP Naz Shah was suspended for saying something similar.
The website has also uncovered other post by Mr Aziz, which promote well known antisemitic tropes.
One refers to the Rothschilds control over David Cameron and Israel being given “illegally” by the UK.
Mr Aziz also posted a graphic about “drinking Gaza blood”, and compared Israelis to Nazis.
Last week, a councillor who was employed by Labour MP Naz Shah as a parliamentary aide was suspended from the party over antisemitic social media posts.
Mohammed Shabbir, who represents Labour on Bradford Council, sent tweets which referred to a “Palestinian Holocaust in Gaza” and repeatedly used the term “Zio”.
Mr Shabbir told the website Guido Fawkes that he had been suspended by the party over the comments.
In a blog post about sex crimes and grooming, he claimed Russian Orthodox Jews were involved in “the sex trafficking trade - demand is particularly high among Charedim, the conservative Orthodox Jews, many of whom are regular clients of brothels…”.
Guido Fawkes also reported that Salim Mulla, a Labour councillor and former Lord Mayor of Blackburn, posted a message on his Facebook page last year that Israel was behind Daesh.
He also posted the same graphic about the “transportation” of Israelis to the United States as Ms Shah.
