The British klezmer band Oi Va Voi played at the Kremlin on Monday — a year later than had been originally planned.
They had been invited last year to Moscow by Russian Chief Rabbi Berel Lazar to perform at the Annual Jewish Awards ceremony.
“The ceremony was cancelled, we don’t know why,” said clarinettist and singer Stephen Levi.
Happily, the event went ahead this year. “It was a unique honour to play there, one we will never forget,” the musician said.
