Film director and Jeremy Corbyn supporter Ken Loach has insisted Tory supporters are more likely to hold antisemitic views than Labour.

In a new interview, he also claimed "everyone knows" suspended MP Chris Williamson, who was suspended for his repeated interventions in Labour's antisemitism crisis, "is not an antisemite.’

Mr Loach also accused Dame Margaret Hodge of indulging in "revolting foul-mouthed abuse" of Jeremy Corbyn.

Discussing what he said was a "campaign" against Labour, Mr Loach said: "We know from YouGov that Tory supporters are more likely to hold antisemitic views than Labour supporters but there is no mass demand for investigations into their party.”
