Business consultant John Dembitz's debut book has been heralded a must-read for anyone who manages people. It's the People: What Really Drives Great Management and Leadership provides advice to anyone in business who wants to become a great manager or leader.
The book is based on Mr Dembitz's 40 years of experience. It has been endorsed by David Tyler, chairman of J Sainsbury.
Budapest-born Mr Dembitz, 61, began his career at McKinsey & Company before moving to Charterhouse Bank, under the auspices of Sir Victor Blank. Today, he holds a number of non-executive chairman and directorships. He tells People: "We all have to start somewhere and those early experiences are hugely important in the way they impact on individuals. We are all a bunch of ordinary people but if there is an effective management, we can combine and achieve fantastic results."
