The Jewish Leadership Council has welcomed two new membership organisations - the Leeds Jewish Representative Council and the Zionist Youth Council.
Mick Davis, JLC board of trustees chairman, said: "They will provide valuable expertise as we address the impact of the Localism Act and the challenge of engaging our younger generation."
Mr Davis also announced the formation of a new agency based on the JLC's schools strategy group. Partnerships for Jewish Schools (PaJeS) will encourage schools to work together on issues affecting them. PaJeS will be chaired by Jonathan Goldstein, with Sarah Anticoni as vice-chair.
