JLC leader Jonathan Goldstein set for second term

US president Michael Goldstein bids to join his brother as trustee of the umbrella body

articlemain

Jonathan Goldstein is set for a second three-year term as chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council after being unopposed in next month's election.

His appointment is expected to be a formality when the JLC council holds its annual meeting. He was elected unopposed in May 2017.

Mr Goldstein's brother Michael, who sits on the JLC council as president of the United Synagogue, is bidding to join the inner circle of JLC trustees in a contested election.

He will compete for one of the two available places on the trustee body against incumbents Hilda Worth and Mark Addlestone, who are standing for re-election.
