Jewish group given permission to challenge council's Israel boycott

articlemain

The Jewish Human Right Watch group has been given permission to apply for a judicial review of Leicester City Council’s boycott of goods from the West Bank.

High Court judge Mr Justice Laing gave the go-ahead in what the group called “a landmark decision”.

The application will now go to full hearing in 2016.

JHRW called on Leicester to withdraw its boycott, and urged six other councils with boycott motions to do the same.
