The former leader of the UK branch of the Jewish Defence League has won an appeal against a conviction for assaulting a pro-Palestinian activist.
Roberta Moore had been found guilty in March of attacking two men at a literature festival in Tottenham, north London.
During the incident last summer she had allegedly discharged a dye spray in the face of retired British Library professor and organiser of the festival, Andy Simons before doing the same to festival book-seller Simon Assaf.
But a judge overturned the conviction at Wood Green Crown Court on June 19.
Ms Moore, of Cricklewood, north-west London, had originally been given a 12-month community order and told to do 150 hours of unpaid work. She had also been ordered to pay £720 compensation and costs.
At her original trial she denied any current connection to the English Defence League or its Jewish division, which she previously led.
