April 9, 2018 11:59Jackie Walker, the suspended Labour activist, has posted a 20-minute speech on her Facebook page in which she claims Jews are given privileged treatment over other minority groups in British society in what she describes as a “hierarchy of race”.
Ms Walker also attacks Momentum founder Jon Lansman, who is Jewish, accusing him of ignoring issues such as the slave trade and for attempting to reach out to Jewish groups.
She also attacks people who attended last month’s Enough Is Enough demonstration against antisemitism in Labour as “absolute enemies of Muslims, enemies of people of colour, enemies of our tolerant society."
In the online posting – titled “Reflections on the last week of nonsense on antisemitism and the Labour Party” – Ms Walker says: “When people tell you there is no hierarchy of race you need to know those are the people who want things to stay exactly as they are.
“Because there is a hiearchy of race. We all know it.
“We know there are some groups that are seen as more important than others. We all that there are some groups who can get to the media more than others.”
Ms Walker, a former vice-chair of the Momentum group, attempts to justify her claims by referring to the March 26 demonstration organised by the Jewish Leadership Council and the Board of Deputies in Parliament Square.
She states:” Lets think about this, the demo last week that was organised by the Board of Deputies and had 1,200 protestors on it.
“Now I’ve been on protests for the health service, against poverty, for Palestine, that have had ten of thousands of people on them and they haven’t got an iota of publicity on the BBC.
“You have got to wonder what that is all about.
“You’ve got to wonder that when people of colour, when Muslims are properly excluded from power, not just from society but from all aspects of the Labour Party. Why is the focus on one group?”
She later suggests: "To hear Jon Lansman go on the media and describe the demonstration outside Westminster as an 'antiracist' demonstration made my blood run cold.
“Because in that demonstration I saw again and again people who I knew who were absolute enemies of Muslims, enemies of people of colour, enemies of our tolerant society"
Ms Walker says she decided to record the video after suffering “victimisation and harassment” since being suspended from Labour.
She was suspended twice by the party in 2016 over comments in which she referred to Jews as the “chief financiers of the slave trade” and for remarks she made about Holocaust Memorial Day – but has yet learn of her future fate within the party.
She describes her fate as being linked to “the worst kind of fascist racist intervention that we have seen in this country.”
Ms Walker, who states that she is of Jewish background herself, admits that antisemitism within society and within the Labour Party “is a real thing.”
But she then adds: “But my question is why is there a hierarchy of race - and why are we supposed to pretend that that hierarchy doesn’t exist?”
Focusing on Mr Lansman, who first appointed Ms Walker in a senior role with Momentum, she insists she attempted to educate him on the issue of black slavery but that “he wasn’t interested.”
Since her exclusion from Labour, Ms Walker has become an outspoken member of the Labour Against The Witch-hunt and Jewish Voice For Labour groups.
A spokesperson for the Community Security Trust labelled Ms Walker's quotes "a disgrace" on Monday.
They added: “Jackie Walker seems to be unaware that people of all backgrounds, including Muslims and people of colour, joined the Enough is Enough demonstration to show their solidarity with the Jewish community. Her comments smearing everyone who stood together against antisemitism are a disgrace and there should be no place for her in the Labour Party.”
