Prayer does not come cheap at America's third oldest Reform synagogue, Temple Emanu-El in New York. A High Holy Day ticket for the first 10 rows would have set you back £2,570, while a more modest view of the pulpit would have merely cost £655, according to the New York Post. I'd certainly be repenting at that price.
