A host of Jewish music stars are in the running for this year’s Brit awards.

Nominees announced on Thursday include Canadian rapper Drake and leading all-girl band Haim.

Drake, who has regularly spoken of his Jewish roots, was nominated for International male solo artist.

He even had a "re-barmitzvah", footage of which was viewed more than one million time on YouTube - "the most watched barmitzvah film clip in human history", as one website described it.
