The top performing Jewish secondary school in England is north London’s Yavneh College, according to A-level results revealed today.

Department of Education statistics released on Thursday show that the Borehamwood academy came joint 84th in A-level results last year, with an average score per pupil of 255.6 – the equivalent of a B grade.

Five other schools in the community achieved a B grade on average, including London-based institutions Menorah High School, Immanuel College, JFS and Hasmonean High School.

Manchester’s King David High School was the highest-scoring Jewish school outside of the capital, while JCoSS, in Barnet, achieved a B- with its first ever batch of A-level results.
