British ventriloquist Paul Zerdin, who won America's Got Talent, is a man of mystery, as far as his religious origins go. When we approached him, he responded: "the name Zerdin's Jewish but I'm not". But then an interview appeared in another Jewish publication where he was described as being of the faith.
Further enquiries elicited this response from his manager Jonathan Shalit, who said his client was "not Jewish but proud to have a manager who is".
