In a GQ interview earlier this year Gadot tried to explain how to accurately say her name.
"'I'm, probably 60 percent of the time, still Gadoh,' says Gadot. It is not Gadoh. But it's also not quite Gah-DOTT. Her confusing advice is that the T is pronounced as 'a lighter T...a softer T.'"
In the Variety Actors on Actors interview Gadot and Nanjiani empathised with each other about being unwitting cultural representatives. She said that "immediately once you become famous it goes without saying that you have to hold the flag of the nation."
Nanjiani agreed, saying he tries to do the best that he can but "whether I want to or not I do represent a group, but I can only tell my story...because everyone has a different story".
