Matthew Gould, the former British ambassador to Israel, has been announced as the new chief executive of NHSX, a public body responsible for setting policy of data and tech for use in the health service.
Mr Gould was the UK’s envoy to the Jewish State between 2010 and 2015, and later served as the Government’s director of cyber security.
His latest role was director general for digital and media, within the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport.
On Thursday he tweeted: “Excited to become the CEO of NHSX. I couldn’t ask for a more worthwhile challenge.
