Rare Dylan song lyrics and the programme for his first concert at the Carnegie Chapter Hall in New York in 1961, are on show, as well as two outfits made by fashion designer Zandra Rhodes for 1970s glam rock star Marc Bolan.
Expected to sell for up to £8,000 is a rare handwritten manuscript, with revisions and modifications, for the score of the MGM musical Gigi, composed by Frederick Loewe. The son of an Austrian Jewish singer, Loewe, along with lyricist Alan Lerner, created a string of hit Broadway shows, including My Fair Lady and Brigadoon.
Taking the collection up to the present day is a gingham dress worn by Amy Winehouse in the video for her single Tears Dry on their Own. It is expected to sell for up to £25,000. The exhibition opens on June 22 — all 252 lots will be auctioned on June 26.
