Lord Janner’s son has threatened to bring a private prosecution against the man who accused the late peer of child abuse after the accuser was himself charged with paedophile offences.

A police investigation into Lord Janner was ordered in 2013 after a man, known only as “Nick”, claimed he had been raped and abused for a number of years by a VIP gang.

It has now been revealed that “Nick” was charged last June with possession of indecent images of children, which he has denied.

A Crown Prosecution Service spokesperson said: “In June 2017 a man was charged with four counts of making indecent images of children, one count of possessing indecent images of children and one count of voyeurism.
