Marianne Faithfull, once paramour of Mick Jagger and archetypal 60s wild child, will be exploring her Jewish ancestry in the BBC 1 series Who Do You Think You Are? next week.

Her mother Eva was a dancer in 1920s Berlin and was living in Vienna when war broke out. Eva’s mother Flora married an Austrian aristocrat Baron Sacher-Masoch and converted to Christianity but still attended synagogue on High Holy Days.
