articlemain

A little bit of the Holy Land is coming to London this weekend.

The Taste of Israel expo will feature workshops, exhibitions, and talks on all aspects of Israeli life, from food to finance.

Would-be immigrants will be able to get practical advice on buying property, benefits, employment and education from a variety of experts.

Tips on holidaying, investment opportunities and simcha planning will also be available.

Visitors to the day-long event will be able to sample the country’s finest food and wine, and learn culinary secrets from celebrity chef Or Golan and the British-born star of Israeli Masterchef Josh Steele.

Children will be catered for with a range of activities throughout the day, while adults can take part in a discussion on the role of Jewish media in supporting Israel, hosted by Israel’s Channel 2 anchor man Amit Segal.

A photo exhibition, Israel in Full Image, will trace highlights of the country’s history and celebrate the contribution of immigrants through the decades.

Taste of Israel, which is sponsored by the JC, takes place from 10.30am to 5.30pm at JW3, in Finchley Road, on Sunday. Entry is free.
