A former winner of the JC's Dragons' Den competition has gone on to claim victory in a prestigious innovation and design award.

Michael Korn was named the winner of this year's UK James Dyson award for his KwickScreen invention, which gives hospital patients privacy even in shared wards.

The KwickScreen, a retractable screen enabling a temporary divide between beds, has been on the market for three years.

The innovative idea has been picked up by 25 NHS trusts and sold to hospitals around the world, including in the United Arab Emirates.
