An elected Labour councillor recently cleared by the party over antisemitism claims also wrote a series of slurs about the Queen and her health, the JC can reveal.

Liverpool City councillor Sam Gorst ranted against Her Majesty on social media, speculating at one point: "The Queen is definitely on deaths [sic] door. I've got a feeling! Fingers crossed."

In a separate social media post he wrote of the British monarch: "Get rid!

"Put Queenie in a council house for life. Useless bitch."

The anti-royalist rants will embarrass Labour coming only days after Jeremy Corbyn demanded Boris Johnson apologise to the Queen for unlawfully suspending parliament.

Mr Gorst had claimed he was the victim of a "smear" earlier this year when he was investigated by Labour over allegations of antisemitism, including branding Jewish MP Luciana Berger a “hideous traitor” and “backstabber."

In other social media messages he compared Israel to the Nazis - and also came out in support of Ken Livingstone.

More recently he has expressed his admiration for Chris Williamson, the Derby North MP currently suspended from the party over his repeated behaviour towards the Jewish community

In July, Labour informed Mr Gorst they had cleared him of breaking any party rules.

The emergence of new social media posts from Mr Gorst's Twiitter account will raise new concerns about suitability as an elected representative.

The were made public by another Liverpool councillor, Paul Kenyon, who announced he was standing down in Wavertree earlier this week citing bullying from left-wingers after he supported former local MP Ms Berger over claims of antisemitism in the party.
