Norwood’s combined junior bike ride, toddlerthon and fun day brought hundreds of families to the Haberdashers’ School in Elstree on Sunday.

Around 475 cyclists completed a five- or 10-mile off-road adventure, while the under-fours enjoyed the toddlerthon.

Bike rider Joshua Lipshaw was celebrating his seventh birthday and donated his birthday money to the charity.
Having cycled the longer course with his younger brother and father, 10-year-old Gabriel Schneider said: “I really enjoyed taking part, even though it was a hard challenge. It was good to raise money to help other people.”

Talya Jacobson, 17, a past Norwood service user, cycled the five-mile route on a specially adapted trike, accompanied on foot by her father Alan. Service user and cycling challenge veteran Ian Spellman was among those on tandem teams. The entrant raising the most in sponsorship will receive an iPad.
