Wolfson Hillel Primary head Jason Marantz is to become chief executive of the London School of Jewish Studies next year, following the promotion of Raphael Zarum to dean.
Canadian-born Mr Marantz, 36, said that "after three-and-a-half extremely rewarding and happy years at Wolfson Hillel, I am very excited about taking on this key position in the Anglo-Jewish community.
"I am looking forward to working with some of the community's best educators to help take LSJS into its next phase of development."
Mr Marantz will head the senior management team and have responsibility for budgeting and fundraising.
Trustees' chair Professor Anthony Warrens said: "LSJS is changing and adapting to the needs and demands of the community and we see Jason as being ideally placed to work alongside Dr Zarum and the team to help us meet these myriad challenges."
LSJS attracts hundreds of students each year to its Hendon campus. Its programmes are also taught across Anglo-Jewry and the wider Jewish world and it provides degrees in partnership with top academic institutions.
Meanwhile, Southgate-based Wolfson Hillel will be advertising for a new head.
