Yachad, the new alternative advocacy group, is planning educational tours for youth group leaders to East Jerusalem and the West Bank as part of its programme to promote a two-state solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The group says that "time is running out" for a two-state solution, which is "threatened" by terrorist violence and "undermined" by the building of Jewish settlements.

In a manifesto released this week, it calls for "a Jewish Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and an Arab Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state".
