Edinburgh House, the Spanish and Portuguese Jews Home for the Aged, has received a three-star award for excellence after a government inspection.
The Commission for Social Care Inspection (CSCI) made an unannounced inspection, which took place over three days. The inspectors concluded that the 51 residents were given an excellent quality of service.
During their inspection, the CSCI team spoke with the manager, staff and residents. Records were examined and the care of a number of residents was case-tracked. All members of staff were found to work together as a team and to play an important part in supporting the residents.
Christine Gibson, manager of the Wembley home, told the JC that the award was “due to good teamwork throughout”.
