The death toll in the UK Jewish community from coronavirus has risen to over 600, according to the latest figures from the Board of Deputies.
By the end of last week, 616 British Jews had died – an increase of 17 from the week before.
The figures are based on funerals under the auspices of Jewish burial societies around the country where coronavirus has been recorded as a cause of death.
This differs from the method used in the official UK government number for the country as a whole – which now stands at 67,616. This is based on victims testing positive for coronavirus within 28 days.
