Mathilda Marks Kennedy primary’s Jewish studies teaching has been judged as “outstanding” by Pikuach inspectors.

The inspection team looked at pupils’ progress and achievement, the quality of teaching, leadership and management and the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development in the Mill Hill school.

The 223-pupil one-form entry voluntary aided school was commended for “the drive, commitment and inspiration of the headteacher, governors, principal and head of Jewish studies who ensures that children make good progress and achieve well in their Jewish studies”.

Ruth Wilkinson, head of Jewish studies and deputy head teacher said: “We have a small but highly dedicated Jewish studies team who ensure that not only are their lessons inspiring, but that there is an enjoyable and warm Jewish atmosphere.”
