The Tashbar Primary in Edgware has received "good" grades in all areas from Ofsted inspectors.

Established in 2005 with fewer than 10 pupils, there are now 178 boys on the roll. It is anticipated that it will move to premises next door during the next academic year once refurbishments have been completed.

Inspectors noted that principal Rabbi Nechemia Yaffe had "recognised the high demand for places and has strengthened leadership through the appointment of a highly experienced associate headteacher", Anthony Wolfson.

They also found that pupils enjoyed lessons and were well behaved. There was a positive atmosphere for learning throughout the school. The broad curriculum meant that "pupils develop a balanced view of modern day society and have an increasing awareness of different cultures and customs".

Governors' chair Yisroel Goldstein said the report was a "tribute to the hard-working staff.

"Tashbar is at an exciting time with our impending move. I am proud to be a governor of this successful school."
