Finchley Synagogue congregants have overwhelmingly endorsed the appointment of Rabbi Jeremy Lawrence — currently with the Sydney Great Synagogue — as the successor to Chief Rabbi Ephraim Mirvis as its senior minister.
Rabbi Lawrence, his wife Mandy and two of their four children had spent Shabbat with the Finchley community prior to the vote.
“Kinloss is a vibrant and diverse congregation,” Rabbi Lawrence said after the vote. “It is an exciting challenge. I look forward to joining its accomplished rabbinic team and bringing my experience to the service of its community.”
