Aharon Soudry took part in his last engagement as minister of Newton Mearns shul at Sunday's Remembrance Day service.
Three years after taking up the role, Mr Soudry led the memorial service for nearly 200 of Glasgow's Jews who died fighting in the two world wars.
Mr Soudry said: "I have stood at the Cenotaph at the Newton Mearns memorial on Remembrance Sunday for many years. It never ceases to impress and move us. The bagpipes add a great deal of sadness to remembering the soldiers and civilians who sacrificed their today for our tomorrow."
Eliezer Wolfson, currently the youth rabbi in Glasgow, will replace Mr Soudry as head of Newton Mearns shul from next year.
