London area synagogue members turned out in numbers for a walk from Leeds to Trafalgar Square organised by a 7/7 bombings survivor to promote interfaith understanding.

Shuls including Stanmore United, Edgware, North Western and Radlett Reform and St Albans Masorti supported the WalkTalk initiative conceived by Gill Hicks, who lost both her legs in the bombings.

Ms Hicks said the aim was to "develop relationships between individuals and groups who might not normally mix with each other". Among those she met along the way was Esther Hyman, whose sister Miriam was killed in the Tavistock Square bus bomb.
