Shoes fit needs of Africa

articlemain

Lady Elaine Sacks is among the contributors to the Shoe Aid for Africa campaign run by the United Synagogue’s Project Chesed.

Eleven communities have collected close to 200 bin-bags of footwear for impoverished families. Hundreds of pairs were donated at Radlett Prep after young Radlett United member Alex Steene, 10, promoted the campaign among his fellow pupils.

“The difference it makes to the lives of children and families in Africa is immeasurable,” Lady Sacks said. The shoes will be sent in time for the new school term in January.
