South London's first Jewish school, the Mosaic Primary, has received the keys to what will be its permanent home in Roehampton from Wandsworth Council.
Subject to planning permission, the school - which opened in temporary accommodation in Wimbledon in September - will move to a purpose-built site by September 2015. The plan is ultimately to provide places for up to 420 children in a two-form entry school.
The permanent site in Roehampton Lane, known locally as Hartfield House, is a large, two-storey, red-brick building. It stands within landscaped grounds ideal for outdoor play and learning activities.
"We are extremely fortunate to have secured such a lovely site," said Mosaic head Kate Baum. "We have enjoyed such a wonderful start and our current and prospective families [of pupils] are eager to see the school grow."
