A pop-up restaurant serving a kosher version of the traditional Sunday roast is being planned in London by foodie Amy Beilin and her friends.

The Kosher Roast will open in Kensal Rise on the first two Sundays in December for up to 60 diners on each occasion.

They will receive a three-course meal "with all the trimmings", including sausage rolls for starters and roast beef to follow. The organisers have hired a professional chef who will cook under rabbinic supervision. Drinks will be provided by the venue, The Shop bar.

"I can't tuck into a fat roast at a pub [for kashrut reasons]," Ms Beilin explained. "Instead I can do it myself. I already host dinner parties so I am enjoying the challenge of taking it to the next step."
