A London reunion for former members of the Norwood orphanage attracted 90 participants from around the world, among them 102-year-old Kitty Freud. It was arranged by Norwood Old Scholars Association chair Jack Matthews, who said: “We don’t have reunions very often so it was great to have it with Norwood celebrating this special anniversary [its bicentenary of royal patronage]. Reverend Alan Greenblatt, the former deputy headmaster, came along and we also had some of the old housemasters and mistresses.”
