Hasmonean High School has been rated as outstanding in every category by Ofsted inspectors.
Ofsted said a commitment to excellence in religious and secular studies had been “the cornerstone of the school’s success”. Teachers had high expectations of pupils, who showed “a genuine hunger to excel in all areas of their life at Hasmonean. As a result, students make outstanding progress in their learning, including those in the sixth form.”
The Pikuach report on religious education also graded the school as outstanding, “with many exemplary features”. All student groups made exceptional progress, it noted.
Executive head Rabbi David Meyer said: “These outstanding results are a reflection of the hard work of the staff and students. We are determined to build on our success to ensure Hasmonean continues to be a centre of excellence and the gold standard of Jewish education.”
