A state-aided Charedi girls school has retained its good status after a short Ofsted inspection.
Beis Yaakov Primary in Edgware offered a “broad and balanced” curriculum in a warm and caring environment, inspectors found.
The school’s leadership had “high expectations that pupils and staff show respect and tolerance for all. This supports the school’s vision to weave Torah values and British values into every aspect of the school experience.”
Ofsted noted that in one exercise, pupils read Dr Martin Luther King Junior’s “dream speech” and composed their own.
They had “a good understanding of the different types of people and families and the many cultural traditions within and beyond their community.”
