New Seinfeld episode is all about pupils and Fairtrade

articlemain

Jerry Seinfeld has rewarded children from Finchley’s Akiva Primary for their supporting role for Fairtrade.

The pupil council ran a contest promoting the purchase of Fairtrade items.

A parent who met the comedian told him about the initiative and Mr Seinfeld was so impressed that he arranged for Ben & Jerry’s ice cream to be delivered to the school when the winning class was announced.

In a DVD message, he told pupils: “Akiva School, how are you guys? It’s Jerry from Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, committed to be 100 per cent Fairtrade by the end of the year 2013. We are on the path to be there. Love that you guys are supporting Fairtrade.”
