A company run by the well-known kosher caterer Carole Sobell - Carole Sobell Limited - has gone into administration.
Paul Whiter of insolvency practitioners B&C Associates said: "They had a demand from the Revenue and Customs to pay a lump sum each month which they couldn't do.
"We will produce a report within eight weeks to send to the creditors about the state of affairs."
Carole Sobell Limited was set up in 1996. The caterer is now trading under the name of Carole Sobell Events, a separate company established in 2007.
Ms Sobell said: "We set up Carole Sobell Events because it incorporated more of what I was doing with party and hotel consultancy and other things.
"When Malcolm Brenner, the new partner, wanted to invest, he wanted to do it all with the Events company rather than the other company, which had family problems."
She added: "Everything is great as far as my business is concerned. I'm busy and have three functions on
Sunday."
Mr Brenner, a senior shareholder, claimed: "We're stronger and more buoyant than ever. I wasn't prepared to get involved in the company with the old set-up."
