Mourners at a Bushey cemetery funeral are facing expensive vehicle repairs after "malicious" vandalism.

They discovered the damage following the funeral of Alan and Rochelle Bernard, who died after a car collided with them as they walked along a road to their holiday home in Dorset.

Graham Temple from Radlett, who had known the Bernards for more than 30 years, said the funeral had been attended by 800 people. "Even though we got there early, the car park had filled and many vehicles were parked along the grass verge outside the cemetery. I estimate there must have been 40 to 50.

"When I left the cemetery, I noticed that my car had been keyed along the length of one side." Friends who had parked along the verge also reported damage.
