Mitzvah Day's TV stars

articlemain

Young people from across the community will be supporting the annual Blue Peter appeal as part of Mitzvah Day on November 15.

They will be collecting old T-shirts and decorating them for use as gowns, saving on the cost of corrective surgery for children in developing nations with cleft palates.

Mitzvah Day is a platform for good deeds within the Jewish or wider community and founder director Laura Marks sees the Blue Peter project as the perfect collaboration. “For so many young people, Blue Peter is how they first become aware of the idea that charity can be fun.” To start the ball rolling, she is donating the stock of green Mitzvah Day T-shirts from last year.
