Leeds head takes a fall

articlemain

The height-fearing head of Leeds' Brodetsky Jewish primary has taken a 300ft bungee jump to raise £1,200 for the school's library.

Jeremy Dunford, 44, took the jump in Tatton Park, Knutsford, at the suggestion of the school's site manager and fellow participant Nigel Barton, 52, an ex-member of the Parachute Regiment.

It was one of those experiences I am pleased to say I have done and now can say 'never again'," said a relieved Mr Dunford.

"There is a lot of satisfaction in overcoming my fear of heights and even more in the amount of money we have raised.

"However, I cannot say that I got the pleasure out of the experience that Mr Barton and the other jumpers got.

"My wife is particularly pleased that I came down safely and my sons were very amused that my weight meant I was attached to two bungee cords and not the normal one."
