Kosher Komedy? It paid

articlemain

Laughter was on the agenda for the 140 guests at JNF UK's annual Kosher Komedy Night at the Gatehouse, Highgate Village.

The sell-out crowd was entertained by Joe Bor, Penelope Solomon, Sol Bernstein and Steve Best - four of the biggest names on the Jewish comedy circuit. The £3,000 raised will assist the Israel Trauma Coalition, a charity which provides assistance to those affected by terrorism in Israel. The ITC was established in 2002, at the height of the Second Intifada.

Event organiser Tracey Lee said the evening "was a massive success - everyone had a great time. The ITC has pioneered the use of laughter as a therapy for trauma, so it felt really appropriate to raise money for them with a comedy show."

Matan Toledano, chief executive of JNF UK, said: "The night was a fantastic chance for our supporters to get together and have a great evening. The Kosher comics were brilliant and we want to thank them and all our guests for joining us. The money raised will go a long way to funding the work we're doing in Israel."
