Knife attack thwarted

Police have praised a couple who chased away a knife-wielding teen attempting to rob an 11-year-old JFS boy in Edgware.

Officers have urged the couple, thought to be aged around 40, to come forward to help with the investigation. They had been walking their dog when they saw the attack.

The incident happened at the junction of Station Road and Edgwarebury Lane in the afternoon of February 10. The suspect is described as black, aged around 13, 5ft 7in tall and dressed in a black hooded jacket.
