New North Cheshire Jewish Primary head Joseph Kelly wants to build on its "remarkable record of success".

Mr Kelly, 56, combines years of experience as a head teacher with the further expertise of a senior school improvement adviser in Stockport.

He will start in September but is already familiar with North Cheshire, having been involved in the ongoing training of a number of its staff.

His first headship was in Wandsworth, south London, from 1993-95. He moved to the Stockport area in 1996 to take charge at Cheadle Primary.
