The next chairman of the Jewish Leadership Council is set to be Keith Black, who represents the Community Security Trust on the umbrella body.
He was the sole nominee to succeed Jonathan Goldstein, who stepped down mid-way through his second term because of business and personal reasons.
Members of the JLC council will be asked to ratify Mr Black as their next chairman at a meeting next week.
Manchester-born but now living in North London, Mr Black is a long-time UJIA supporter and chaired UJIA Manchester.
He is the chairman and chief executive of the outdoor clothing group, Regatta.
