JFS has been commended by Ofsted inspectors in their second report since its move to Kenton in 2002.
Concluding that “the school’s overall effectiveness is outstanding”, the inspectors noted a high quality of teaching: “Students know what is expected of them and, as a result, they tackle their work with confidence.”
The inspectors were also impressed by pupils’ moral, social and cultural development, by the “excellent” sixth-form education and by the JFS management and leadership.
Headteacher Jonathan Miller said the school had “achieved this outcome through a strong and effective partnership between students, parents and staff which treats every student as an individual and helps them reach their potential.”
Added governors’ chair Russell Kett: “Our students, of course, deserve our congratulations.
“They clearly help to bring out the best in their teachers.”
